Today we have something exciting to share with you. We’re launching an update to our iOS app introducing reviews and highlights from the community, making it easier for you to engage with other readers within the app. This will bring the discussion and commentary that’s happening on Readmill.com into the app. Read on to find out more.
You can now browse reviews and highlights from the Readmill community right inside the app. It’s a great way to find out if a book is worth reading, or to get involved in a discussion about a book you’ve already read. Tap on any book in Explore or on your Profile and you’ll find reviews and highlights.
You can comment upon and like reviews and highlights. We’ve also added sharing via email, Facebook, Twitter and direct message. It’s great for telling friends about a book or a quote you’ve found. Tap on a review or highlight to read others’ comments and add your own.
No more hassle with DRM-books
We’ve changed how the app handles DRM-protected books. Opening a DRM-book in the old app required that you first sign up for an Adobe account, choose a new password and jump through a series of hoops. This was way too complicated.
With the new app, just upload your DRM-book to your Library and it will open as expected. No additional accounts needed. It’s a huge improvement. Buy your next book from Feedbooks or Kobo and upload it to try it out.
We hope you enjoy these new features, and be sure to download it from the App Store.
